The cost for 2023 will be $5.40/lb hanging weight. We will continue to include basic processing in our per lb cost. Shown below are the additional charges for processing of the listed items. Most of these costs are for taking out the bones to make a boneless cut or to prepare the meat for ground beef. We regret that we need to charge for these costs, but processing has increased in price and it has become increasingly difficult to find an equitable way to keep pricing moderate and still give everyone their choice in cuts. If you don't order any special cuts or additional fat or bones, the additional cost would be about $25 to $60 for boneless cuts or making some roasts into ground beef and/or patties. Normally, we process in mid-October to early November We have been receiving many requests this year for beef so it is to your advantage to order early. There is no specific due date for reserving an order but there may be some point in the summer when the pastures will not support all the cattle and we will be forced to reduce the herd. We suggest that you submit your order form as early as possible. At some point we will only keep the animals that have been ordered. We only keep the animals that we receive orders for so that we can utilize the pasture more efficiently and produce the best possible beef.
We will confirm with you within 7 days of receiving your order to let you know if your request can be accepted.
